Flower croquis in the Botanical Garden

Join us outside in the lovely summer weather for this 3-hour workshop in the Botanical Garden.

Painting outside is a great way to loosen up in watercolor for several reasons. One for example, is that you have less control over your environment, so you have to paint in a  faster more impressionistic style, which can be both fun and challenging.

Croquis is French and means sketch. That’s why I call the workshop flower croquis, because we will practice sketching different flowers and botanical forms and afterwards we will select a floral motif to paint in watercolor. I help identify and mix the colors of the flowers and show different brush techniques to paint the motif.

No previous experience is required to participate in the workshop. Regardless of whether you are an experienced painter or a beginner, there is something for you if you want to practice drawing and painting in watercolor.
